Complete Review Of iPhone 4S

iphone-4sWe are going to talk about everything like design, hardware, software, iOS 5, Camera, etc.. SO, lets go over to design and hardware, if you look at the iPhone 4S then you will say that nothing has changed and it is same as the iPhone 4 but it has a SIM card slot and now you can use it with any networks in the world. The iPhone 4S also comes in both White and Black.

Hardware

In design we can say that it is basically same but inside it is charged with a dual core A5 processor, both the cores are clocked at 1GHz & has 512 MB of RAM. It has 8MP camera that can record a HD video at 30 fps. It comes with 16 GB and 32 GB versions.

Software (iOS 5)

It hasĀ  a brand new operating system that apple just released and the iPhone 4S can do a lot more than iPhone 4. They have added a notification center, when you slide down through the screen then you will see a notification bar will open up where you can read all notifications from the applications. You can also change the notification settings and set custom settings according to your need. You can now setup a custom vibration for the incoming calls. It has LED alert at the back so if someone calls up then the LED will start flashing.

The new feature we are going to talk about is the Wireless Air Play, now you can connect your iPhone wirelessly with an Apple TV and you can play games and watch movies in big screen. Now what is the difference between the speed of both phones? Apple says it has a dual core processor so it 2x faster than iPhone 4 but I didn’t see much difference. But the iPhone 4S is faster than iPhone 4 in every aspect, now it didn’t hung up when performing any tasks.

The voice control feature is a fantastic piece of application, you can now setup calender entries, send email, call someone else just by speaking to your phone. It is really incredible.

Camera

It has 8 MP camera and this can record at 30 fps. It comes with Image stabilization technology that will let you take good pictures even if your phone shakes a little bit. This is one of the best cameras I’ve seen in mobile phones. I know some of the Nokia phones have better cameras in it but as a whole package it is the best one. The video in the iPhone 4S is pretty darn interesting.

Phone Call Quality

I can say that the call quality is pretty much same as that of iPhone 4, now the signal may not drop if you hold your phone in any way, apple has done a good job in fixing it but if you hold it tight then you may see a drop in signal bar.

Battery

The standby time of iPhone 4S is 200 hours but the standby time of iPhone 4 is 300 hours, it loses a 100 hours of battery but that is ok with some additional new feature that iPhone 4S got.

Overall Opinion

It is pretty much a solid upgrade over iPhone 4. If you are not using the camera so hard then I recommend you to stick with the iPhone 4 itself. But as for a 3G connectivity it is a must upgrade over iPhone 4.

iPhone 4 Review

The call quality and the fidelity of iPhone 4 is drastically improved over iPhone 3GS. The improved signal strength in the iPhone 4 is due to the antenna which is located at the left side, if you cover that area with your finger or palm then you might see a signal drop. If you hold … Continue reading
